Offering, Calling & Honoring

Today we had the fourth Saturday meeting of the12 week meditation series in the Daring Greatly: 60 Day Gratitude Challenge at Two Rivers Yoga. This week we focus on embodying our spirit and romancing our souls!  We began with a prayer inspired by Ana Forrest’s teaching:

Let us dance with what is immovable in our lives.  Let us find the courage & help one another to truly connect with our Spirit.  Let us find the courage & help one another to go through our fears. Let us find the courage to use our healing breath to call out to Spirit.  Let us find the courage & help one another to ask for what we want.  Let us find the courage & help one another to walk in Beauty, accepting the wholeness of our being . . . Let us give thanks!

In meditation we enlivened our essence with breath and inner light.  We offered time and created the space for our Spirit to make itself known.  Like tracking a wild thing, we were curious, open and patient.

We used the breath to help keep all senses open so we could hear, see, smell, taste and touch what Spirit was calling for.  If you’ve never explored this before you should try it.
If you hear a call can you stay with it long enough to really feel its truth? What happens when you ask for what you need most deeply?  Can you let go of judgement and just stay in the big space of your awareness?   We took some time to reflect on the things that we’re already doing to nourish Spirit.  I think of these things as our Spirit powers.  They can extend way beyond our selves to touch others.

We passed the drum.  One by one we offered up our obstacles.  We called out for what our Spirits wanted.  We honored the Spirit power that we’ve been living.   Aho!  Marianne grabbed the drum and danced – she brightened the whole room with her light!!!!!!!   Like the hummingbird at her window.  She made us look up and smile.  My happiness sparkled like the light outside today – so clear.  Circles like this one delight my soul!!!!!!!  Thinking of you and smiling.
