“Let the things that enter into your life wake you up!” Pema Chodron
Today we had the eighth Saturday meeting of the 9 week meditation series in the Daring Greatly: 60 Day Gratitude Challenge at Two Rivers Yoga. This week we focus on what we want to cultivate in our living gardens this year. We began with a prayer inspired by Ana Forrest’s teaching:
Let us dance with what is immovable in our lives. Let us find the courage & help one another enter the silence! Let us find the courage & help one another dare to do new things. Let us find the courage & help one another to challenge what is false. Let us find the courage and help one another to speak our truth. Let us find the courage & help one another to live our wiser selves. Let us find the courage & help one another to revel in joy. Let us find the courage & help one another to enliven & express our Spirits . . . Let us give thanks!
As we near the end of our sixty days, Ana offers spiritual guidelines to help us to continue walking the good road. These are ways that we can cultivate empowering habits of body, heart, mind and, most of all, Spirit. Truly honoring Spirit, keeping in Integrity.
We played with a form of divination called Rainbow Warrior Awaken! The Rainbow cards contain potent messages that weave together spiritual insight with powerful meditations, and healing processes. There are a variety of ways to use the cards. We began by contemplating the Compass cards which point to an underlying direction, a season of earth and a quality of life. Next, we used the Color cards which represent the Chakras and corresponding healing processes that involve recognizing and releasing limiting beliefs and feelings, replacing them with a healing qualities. Lastly, we used the Quality cards which describe an aspect of life experience that we can enliven through action in our lives.
We formed a mantra to integrate each cards inspirations into a spiritual direction. In my first exploration, I drew the following cards:
Compass: Wisdom Color: Creative, Belly (second Chakra) Quality: Wisdom/Action
I formed this mantra: With Wisdom, I am Creative as I embody and act wisely in my life!
I activated the felt experience of having wisdom, being creative and then acting wisely.
I think this is very much in tune with honoring our Spirits. It’s simply another way of illuminating the gifts we have and then bringing them to life in the world. The sun seemed to sparkle up our circle as we shared a the lightness of discovery. May this light shine on your journeys! Aho!
