About DharmaTouch Table Massage
A DharmaTouch Table Massage integrates the following Western massage therapy techniques with Eastern awareness and movement practices:
Swedish Massage releases chronic tension and muscle pain, improves circulation and increases flexibility. Long, slow and rhythmic strokes are generally applied to completely relax your whole body. Deep kneading and friction movements are selectively applied to sore, tight muscles. Assisted and resisted stretching promotes greater range of motion.
Deep Tissue Massage increases the depth of pressure applied to muscle tissue, tendons and trigger points. It helps to realign the muscle fibers and works on adhesions and chronic scar tissue and dysfunction. It brings increased circulation to areas of concern and helps to restore limited range of motion depending on the type of injury or strain.
Integrated Injury Treatment Massage is a blend of specific massage techniques from myofascial release, skin rolling, deep tissue and cross fiber friction, acupressure and assisted stretching. It helps realign muscle fibers and treats chronic adhesions and scar tissue and dysfunction.
Prenatal Massage techniques relieve back and sciatic pain, swelling and increase the flow of oxygen and blood nourishing both mother and baby. They can relieve tension, fatigue, and headaches; lend circulatory support to reduce incidences of swelling, varicose veins, and leg cramps. Specially designed body cushions support an expectant mother’s body, relieve chronic postural stress and promote a restorative experience of deep relaxation.
About Thai Yoga Therapy
A Thai Yoga Massage Therapy session is performed on a floor mat to allow full range of motion. It is a unique combination of massage, acupressure, gentle twisting, deep stretching, energy work and mindfulness. I have found it especially helpful to people who are living with health challenges that limit their mobility.
Thai Yoga Massage Therapy can increase flexibility and range of movement, eliminate muscle pain and spasm, improve postural alignment, stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, relieve fatigue, headaches and promote a deep sense of relaxation while increasing your energy level.
The gentle movement and dynamic stretching can reveal particular imbalances in the relative strength and weakness, tension and mobility in muscle groups. These “revelations” of kinesthetic awareness canhelp you to integrate and enhance the benefits of your yoga practice.
Restorative Yoga, breathing and Pranic healing techniques release tension in both giver and receiver: we become partners in healing during our session.
